Why is this week not over yet?? I don't think it's just me, either, it seems to be tragically off-course for a lot of people.

I guess I should start with the heavy stuff. One of our coworkers died today. Lung cancer. He was old and we knew it was soon, but it still kind of casts a dark cloud over the place. Literally as well as figuratively. It's been completely dry here all season, but suddenly today there was clouds in the sky. I haven't seen clouds in MONTHS. Seriously. So I guess we should have taken it for the omen that it was. I'm really hoping that I don't have to mess wtih the Jury stuff tomorrow since we have a staff meeting early in the morning that I'm guessing is going to inform us of what the funeral arrangements are. I'm hoping they close the library down for a few hours since this guy was pretty much the face of the library to patrons and staff and it will be a little irksome if we can't all pay our respects. Especially those that have worked with him for over 20 years. Robert's understandably upset and with the boss leaving town for the week, we're all pretty thrown off today.

Well, I'm racking up the points on my Visa card. I'm glad I upgraded because now the points accumulate til I choose to cash them in and I can get straight cash instead of just amazon gift certificates, not that I can't use those either. Amazon's gold box deals all week are HBO box sets, so in addition to the Raymond set, I've got Extras coming, the blond Juku Couture girl(they have Audrina as $60 for lord knows what reason, but Hayley's down to $15 w/ free shipping) and the Wire for my mom. She offered to pay me for it so I could get the points and luckily it rolled over today. Sugarmag put some of the SD clothes half-price last night too, so I ended up with a few more things than I had planned on for that as well.

AND Cherished Friends has marked down a lot of dolls and while most aren't my speed, they're low enough for me to contemplate stealing their clothes. Lyra for $20! And the kickit that I love...and the one I bought a few weeks ago for at least $10 more. >_> I did so well resisting the Angelicdreamz sale too.

I got NeoNoir. She doesn't thrill me as much as I would have hoped. I don't think I like the change to black hair and it took me longer to get the dress and body plastic off than it did to get her out of the box. I wish JP would just colorfast their stuff. I really like her sparkly red eyes, but the pupils are so dilated, you don't get as much of the color. And her damn barrel curl was fucked up right out of the box which angers me to no extent. I'm pretty sure I want to rewig, but I don't know with what. Gray or red? Maybe I won't mind all the black hair once I redress her though. I'll do proper pics when that happens. Right now I'm just doing body comparison shots for people. Oooh, I need to remember to pay for Kaela or whoever the hell is next month, too.

UPDATE: Apparently they will be closing the library for the funeral, so that's good. And no Jury Duty tomorrow so yay!
