Yay for clean bills of health!

Just got back from the dentist and after working myself up into a tizzy, it actually went okay. No cavities (still! :O) and no need for teeth pulled which is the usual problem. I had each wisdom removed seperately, except for the one still left that's supposed to close up the gap where that horrible tooth had to be cut out of my gums. But, except for excess bleeding, they said I looked good. I dunno why, but they've always bled alot. I'll take that over cavaties though. I actually prefer teeth removal to that horrible scraping and pulling though.

OMG that blue-haired Ello looks soo awesome. I was thinking of dolls and tv shows to try and tune out the dentistry and saw Tanz post this morning. I also love the eye color of the crazy cat lady one though, such a beautiful aqua color. So I'll just get one grab bag and then when the card rolls around I can get an Ello, too. Heh. Hopefully they'll do a free shipping sale or something for the new releases. I had one of my shopping dreams and the store had all these OOB Kickits scattered about, so I was grabbing them all up. Also some earring set that had something to do with destiny or something, but I don't recall exactly wtf was going on with that. It was really pretty, though, lol.

I entered another Pullip picture contest. This one's pertty lo-key though, so I'm not going to spaz to everyone about which picture to submit. ;) I hadn't seen anything from it for about a week, so I actually figured it had already fizzled out. Here it is if anyone wants to take a look:

At least I got to make further use of my brained MJ. He always seems to star in these things, poor guy. You might remember him from the Hannibal Lector photoshoot. He was (maybe still is) going to be my Sylar custom, so it's funny that he's the one who ended up with the skullcap off. I wish I had gone for more gore, but I wasn't sure if I'd be able to clean up all the blood w/out staining and getting the setup right was a pain anyways. The body pinata one certainly succeeded in freaking me out though. O_o

Dolls and Their Dress Dramas

Fair warning if whoever's reading this is sick of doll talk. ;P

Surprise, surprise, I actually had the Featherfall package waiting for me at lunch today. They even left it stashed under my welcome mat instead of the pink slip. Yay! I forgot I had it sent to my house, but I think I freaked cause mom knew how much that dress costs and I didn't want her to know I bought it. >_>

That Fer dress thing is HUGE. So much material. But...it's not the bright purple that's indicated on the web site. It's much more drab and almost wine-colored. I really like the construction and look and everything, but the color is just so...blah. It's much more this color:

And since the color is exclusive to that store, I'm having a hard time finding comparison pics to see if it's just the lighting or if maybe it's a different color that was sent. But Dollheart doesn't even list the damn things on their website...grrr. I came across a sky blue one that I like a lot, but I'm guessing it's long sold out. Damn these bjd mind games!

On the other hand, I ended up getting the $25 grab bag, though now I wish I had gone for $50. Only 2 items, which is less a "grab bag" and more like "random outfit" but I guess that's to be expected with the crazy prices. Anyways, I got this green Chinese dress:

I didn't get a chance to try the dress and make sure it fits, but I hope it does since I've always liked those kinds of dresses even though they've gotten kind of overkill lately. It matches her new green eyes too, though I need to fix them cause she currently looks cross-eyed. Not really digging the color on her either, so I'm pretty sure I'm going to go to purple when I find a good pair. And the shoes should be fairly versatile. I ordered the Dollheart grab bag today, so hopefully I'll have that by the end of the week and *crosses fingers* I'm very much hoping for black shoes.

EDIT: Finally found a photo thread for the damn things and scrolling through the pics, I caught this:
"It amuses me to no end that it's more reddish plum in real life, but turns into such a gorgeous shade of royal purple in photos!"
I also noticed that on the Sky Blue fers, some like the first one I saw are a really bright turquoise and others look really pale and washed out. I thought maybe it was a fabric inconsistency, but apparently Fers are born of magic fabric that changes color in the reflection of a camera lens. So I guess there's little recourse. I'll just take pictures of her in the dress and leave it off for the most part because I really dislike the "through human eyes" color or whatever that is.

Ebay searches paid off! I'm stuck on desk so was going through my 20 or so and someone had the Lost Girls set listed for 9.95 or $20 buy-it-now! Only $7 shipping! A lot of people had been trying to charge $15 for it parcel post! And the auctions had been going over $50. I had pulled up the auction and was trying to read through to make sure it wasn't just the empty box or one of the books or something and had to go sign up people for the Internet and then some old guy was talking to me and I was just screaming in my head "OMG Just let me go so I can buy those before someone else does!!"

The seller seems legit, too. Heee, this is awesome! Yay!
