2011 Livejournal Holiday Wish List
Dec. 3rd, 2011 02:54 pm![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you’re comfortable with) to your LJ/blog. The post should contain your
list of up to 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I’d love a Doctor Who icon that’s just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it’s your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your entry, or link to this post (it’ll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friends' friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here’s the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it’s in your heart to do so, make someone’s wish come true. Sometimes someone’s trash is another’s treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don’t want or a gift certificate you won’t use—or even know where you could get someone’s dream purebred Basset Hound for free—do it.
- You needn’t spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn’t to put people out, it’s to provide everyone a
chance to be someone else’s holiday elf—to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not—it’s your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you’ll have the joy of knowing you made someone’s holiday special.
My Wish List
1. New layout for my Livejournal. I hadn't thought about this before, but seeing
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
2. New anime or video game music I might like. So out of the loop, but feel like listening to Jpop and need some recommendations.
3. Motivation to work on projects. Any or all of them. :(
4. Things to cheer me up at work. To put on my desk or by my computer or magnetic or artwork...?
5. Miniature versions of things.
6. Ear cuffs. These are out of fashion, but I don't feel like getting more piercings and need to deck out my ears more. I like the ones with chains going down to one or two pierced holes. Even links to decently-priced cool ones would be appreciated!
7. This: http://www.ringsidecollectibles.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=R&Product_Code=ELITE13-02&Category_Code=CRHODES While I appreciate the Batman villain his character has turned into to, I sorely love the bags and face mask.
8. New purse. I like long straps I can wear cross-body and not a large bag, but not too small, either. I love the one I got at Target, but it's got mystery stains on the back and is fraying.
9. I love surprises. I also love anything people make themselves.
10. Harry and David Raspberry truffles. They used to sell them down here at Christmas, but I haven't seen them for years.
I hope to see more lists from other people as well! :D If you need contact info, just PM me since I'm leaving this public.
