About time for an update, right?

zalliaHey, everyone! I know my updates are all scattered over the months, but man it's been crazy up in hya. I only got 3 hours of sleep last night, since I was working on a paper and had to get up for work this morning, but for some reason I'm not even tired. Odd. I'm sure I'll be feeling it tomorrow though. You know what? They make pills for IBS, anxiety and everything else. Where the hell is a pill for procrastination? That's one I would actually take. I swear, I don't know what's wrong with me. I just can't get started on things. Once I get started I can go through it pretty fast and it's all good. But I'll spend three times that time just looking for other things to do. Hmph.
Well, our Culture/Diversity/International Hoopla, or whatever it ended up being was yesterday. Can anyone say "crapfest"? Man, it was so freakin' half-assed. It was our little Japan booth that we had to steal a table for, a gypsy tent featuring such exoctic Lebannese treats of tibuli, hummus, brownies and cheese ball and a table of three crockpots that made up the International food tasting whatever. Todd made real ramen which was really good. You go, Todd! The other two? Some nasty Velveeta and green chili mixture trying to pass itself off as queso and schnitzel and saurkraut for some German flavor. They had a number of entertainers, some of which cancelled, but Latin guitar player guy was there, which wasn't too bad and bagpipes lady. I've got nothing against bagpipes, but them things are freakin' loud! Oh and did I mention there was NOBODY there?? Well, that's because they only let us know what day it was about 2 weeks ago and I only found out what Time it was Monday. Freakin' Monday. That's only when they advertised, too, by putting up like 2 fliers around campus. Lord. They didn't let us have our tv either to show anime. *sigh* And my mom worked so hard on a Haori and no one even freakin' appreciated it. Oh and news coverage was there. But they waited until 5 minutes after I left to come to the booth. At least, George was in the paper, but still....grrrr. *munches on sour grapes* Supposedly, they're going to have a Club fair thing in January, but after this disaster I can't really look forward to it.
Well, time for some good news. I actually like my job. Weird, huh? I mean, I've worked a lot in the past, like harder than the other people and now I'm all caught up and there's not much to file. But I don't want to ask for more work or anything, but guess what? Not a problem. I can just sit up in the front with the other women and yap about this and that. And it's so small, no one rats or anything. Hell, even my boss will pull up a chair and be all "I don't want to work, what are we talking about?" It's awesome.
I got signed up for the classes I need next spring to graduate, but I'm still waiting to hear from the records clerk so she can let me know that I only need those two classes. *crosses fingers* Oh, I e-mailed stupid Cardomain about my CD player, but they haven't gotten back to me either. >_< One freakin' month it's been on backorder!! Gah! They have the best deal, though! It sucks so much.
I'm gonna get Karaoke Revolution 3, tomorrow. I'm gonna go ahead and get the bundle pack with the mic for a more authentic and cheesy feel. None of the songs particularly strike me, but hopefully it'll be worth it for duet mode. Squee! It's gonna be awesome! They really need to knock it off with the Top 40 pop shit songs on there, though. Oh, yeah I need to e-mail Konami, too. Even though Pizza Hut didn't take heed....we need our buffalo chicken pizza back!! Hear me?!
Ahem. Anyways, I need to get Taiko Drum Master, too, but the only place in town that has it is Gamestop and it's $70 there, a full 10 dollars above the retail price. Still no Donkey Konga, either, but hopefully it'll go on sale somewhere. Gah, I already need to start buying Christmas presents, though. Where's the year gone?!
Potter's Guild was this past weekend, too. We did okay, but sales have been steadily declining, I'm sure in direct correlation with our also steadily declining economy. I swear if this stupid-ass country elects Ahnohld, I am outta here. I also got a nice black eye when the trunk bashed me in the face. Good times, good times.
Oh, Congratulations to Doug and Sarah! I'll get a wedding present to you guys sometime! Hopefully soon, but dang if everyone wants me to do papers and assignments! Boo!!
Man, I still haven't bought the plane tickets for Ohio, either. This one guy said he could get them cheap, but I've just gotten so caught up in all kinds of stuff, I haven't had time to even plan for that. *sigh* Do'nt worry, Tatton, I'll get there!!
I finally got my CD burner fixed! Yay! Of course that was a feat of craptasmagorian proportions, too. The repair guy never called, so I called the company and he said he left a message, but we have no machine. So he gets out here to fix it after about 2 weeks of when I called and spends an hour in my room. And then he comes out and guess what? The refurbished drive they'd sent was defective! So then it takes another week for another refurbished one to come in and thankfully he came at 4:00 friday right before the weekend. But seriously? Wouldn't it have been cheaper to just send a new unit? I mean CD burners are like what, 80 dollars? That guy's time probably cost a $100 an hour and he had to be here for two. Plus, the cost of paying the people to fix up the old units...so stupid. Geez. I need a new harddrive too. I'm so worried mine'll go out so I don't want to download anymore stuff, even though I'm like 2 episodes away from finishing a number of series. :*( So, if any of you see a good deal on a harddrive, let me know, okay?
Amazing Race started, again!! Ya'll should be watching! Survivor and Apprentice have been disappointing, but The Race is as good as ever! I'll make it on there some day!!
Hm, I guess that's it for now. This'll probably be a billion lines in the LJ. I'm sure someone'll read it, though. Or at least skim it. ; ) Sorry for all the scattered thoughts and disjointedness of it, but I'm sure you know by now that's just the way my brain works. Bzzt!
Ah, Katamari Damacy is an awesome game! I strongly recommend you play it! Katamari do your thing! Great music, great fun. Crazy shit all around in that game.
