Anime, Dolls and Video Games

Well, I had done good about not buying things, but just went and bought 2 dolls back-to-back. A Customhouse Bisou Ai Bonbon, who is unfortunately faceless, but was also under $100, and a Lati Green Renia on a Leeke body. Dislike the Leeke body I already have, but that one was just over $100 and comes with wig/eyes and punkish outfit. For some reason I'm still feeling morose, though. :|

Going to Albuquerque next week. If I can't get the laptop working, then no internets for 3 days. So sad.  Deanne's agreed to give me rides to the conference at least. She's also agreed to be in our next photo-adventure. Hopefully when George comes down we can make another awesome picture story for the next book in our series. We're such dorks.

I'm up to episode 60-something on Sailor Moon. Y'know, I thought the SuperS was my least favorite season, but now I'm sure that it's this 2nd arc of R. I'm just finding it excruciating. Mamoru and Chibiusa are just so freaking abusive to Usagi. Mamoru's doing it to "protect" her, but wtf asshole, just tell her you think there's danger cause she has like a ton more power than you and then they could actually deal with the problem!! Instead he fucking jerks her around all "oh i don't love you anymore, get out!" then shows up as Tuxedo mask to save her. But even worse, he then starts getting all creepily close to her 8 year-old cousin! Like if you're going to break ties guy, might want to not be pedoing around her family members! And then Chibiusa's just so freaking horrible to her, but oh we're supposed to feel sad when she cries for her parents, but I can't muster up any sympathy for her when she's such a little wretch to Usagi and will use her for comfort then to just turn around and say snotty horrible things to her. Ughk, I still have like 20 episodes to go. ;_;

I'm re-reading the manga too, to see if it's similar to this.

Putting off Order of Ecchlsihia for a bit since I got a bunch of other games recently. Started Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2 first and it's nice mindless RPG-tertainment. Real easy to level up, though I died when I had to fight as just Hinata. :P And they don't say "believe it!"  Trying hard to resist buying the new Guilty Gear on PSP...I love that series so...
I want to read up on plot summaries of what's happened with Naruto since I don't think there's any chance of catching up with the episodes. Did Sasuke ever come back? Are Naruto and Sakura or Hinata together? Have they gotten any new clothing upgrades??

I *hated* SMR Chibiusa. So much so that even when she's better in S and SuperS I could not muster any like for her.

And I always disliked Mamoru so, eh.

You'll have to let me know if they're better in the manga. I've only read the first SM arc with Queen Beryl and then the very end of Sailor Stars.

Yeah, I was never keen on Mamoru either since he's still a jerk to her up until that point anyways. Man, if it was me I wouldn't even have given him the second chance post R and there just wouldn't be a crystal tokyo. Or Chibiusa and then everybody wins! I had totally forgotten the existance of the Moonlight Knight until now too. HATE him so much, as well. And yeah, that's why I thought SuperS was my least since it's so Rini-heavy, but it was R that started that dislike. I thought maybe I was just remembering her more harshly, but nope, I think she's even worse now.

Will do! I've had it for ages and just never read it. I think it's cause I would buy and read the monthly comics they put out (oh so many ages ago...) and then by the time they put out the GNs, my interest had waned.

Soon though, I'll be at my beloved Professor Tomoe! "Mmmm, tasty coffee is ready...*maniacal laughter*"

I eventually grew to like Chibiusa, but good freakin' lord, it took forever. And ever. And EVER. Okay, fine, it took to the movie where she makes her cookies that look like crap but taste oh so yummers.

It's been ages, but I want to say the manga involved less 'head meet desk' moments for me, but maybe because they paired Chibs and Minako up more often and I adore my ditzy blond that much?

Damn you. Now I want to go back and re-watch/re-read. Damn you!

I like Minako, though it takes them awhile to flesh out her character to more than just messing up cliches.

You should! Then we can dish about it! Like how the characters think if they all say Usagi's name one after the other, it will magically cure her or something. Or how instead of actually going to her or others in the group when something's wrong, they all just sit around the shrine and talk about how bad the other one must be feeling. Yeah, guys, that helps them feel better. :? And the clothes, the horrible horrible clothes...

But it's weird, I think I atually like the dub of the first 2 seasons more, just for the music. The Carry On and My Only Love songs are so much more impactful than the crappy ones they play in the Japanese version.

I always hated that Tuxedo Mask guy but you know that. And Rini is better in the manga in that its a faster paced story so you don't get repeating moments of "I hate you, you never loved me!" moments from her.

For Naruto... I can't remember when you stopped. There's slight changes costume wise before the series ends and there are big costumes changes for everybody when Shippuuden starts. I like a lot of the Shippuuden costumes better then the originals.

Sasuke is still being super dick (wish he would die) and Naruto hasn't hooked up with anyone yet. But I'm getting the feeling he's losing interest in Sakura in that way... now if the series would just steer him more towards Hinata (who has also gotten less shy...kinda), I'd be happy.

Shikamaru is hotter then ever by the way. ^_^

Yeah, I think I mostly just ignored him in S and Stars which are the ones I've seen the most. He's pretty much dead to me now, too. I'm finding it hard to keep engaged in the manga, not sure why. I should be getting through them a lot faster, but I'm only halfway through the 2nd book and don't read for long bouts. Maybe it's cause of the crappiness of the books themselves, since it takes a lot of force just to open it enough to see all of the pages. -_-

I skipped a lot of filler and then watched a few eps of Shipuuden, but after that, nada. I think I read a few random chapters of manga, enough to know that Sai guy was hanging around, but that's it. lol Yeah, in that game the Hinata sprite's like shaking all over the place. I think I'm going to have to give it up though cause I'll never be able to catch up with 14 seasons. O_o

I saw the new character designs. Kiba's looking pretty good too!
