I meant to post this awhile back, but got sidetracked. And by now, have probably forgotten a lot of details. I've probably mentioned it before, but I dream a LOT. Constantly. Good, bad, trivial, based on day's events/sightings, totally made up shit I don't even know how they got in my head, disturbing, happily finding rare toys on sale that are snatched away from me upon waking. It NEVER STOPS. Side note: If anyone knows how to stop dreams, I will be your friend forever and probably a much more productive member of society.

Anyhow, a few weeks ago I dreamed about two of my LJ friends, that I've never met and just thought you guys might be interested.

The first was [livejournal.com profile] snarky_imp . I haven't even seen a picture of you, but that's never stopped me before. I had gone out to visit you and the Widge was there, as well. There was a gray cat that you owned kind of floofy, but not overly so and this is going to sound horrible, but I think you'd just had a cat that died and it might have been a result of Widget being a little overenthusiastic with it. >_> But you, him and I were just walking around outside and....damn, I think a little more happened, but I can't quite remember now.

The next was [livejournal.com profile] missmollymayhem and was a result of watching Hell's Kitchen at midnight right before bed. But it was at your house (tv show maybe? prize won?) and your family was competing against Gordon Ramsey's family in some kind of game show type contest. I think that was about all, not very long, but really really random.

Anyways, just wanted to note those for posterity. Dreams! Fun! Not!

Aw, that sucks your random crazy dreams aren't fun. I'm the same way in that I have dreams of weird made-up stuff (and they usually involve made-up people I've never met) but usually they involve doing stuff like killing zombies or exploring haunted houses or, my personal favorites, the dreams I'm not even in that just involve entire casts of made-up people in made-up places.

I wish I could pass some of my dream-mojo onto you. Reading lots of fantasy novels before I go to sleep probably has a lot to do with. And I'm an incredibly light sleep so I'm always aware I'm having a dream.

Aha! Infecting dreams without even a visual reference for you to go on. MUHAHAH. My plan, she is complete. Floofy kitties! Luckily only one of our cats gets close enough for Widge to... be overly enthusastic in his lovings of, and the big Pig can take care of himself. (Face, meet claws.)

I hate the rare toys dream. I have those and the similar rare books dream and they are some of the only dreams I can't wake myself up from. I hate that moment before you're really awake and you're still on the "eeee!" high... and then bam. Reality.

But I don't know how to not have them, or not have them as often. I'd like the cure for not having the same damn nightmare over and over though. You blow up one strip mall, you've really blown 'em all up. I don't need this thing on repeat.
