Happy Thanksgiving!
Nov. 26th, 2004 03:44 pmAiyah, I just spent so much money today. -_- So many good deals though! I got South Park Seasons 1 and 2 and Family guy 1/2 at Target for 17.77 a piece and my cat cookie jar that i'd been waiting for and a dvd shelf i have no room for in my room and some GBA games for 5 bucks. I also got the coping saw for my office xmas party (I had to draw the old guy's name...). And....wee! I got a 200 gb harddrive. I had to pay $130, but it'll only be 50 after rebates. That is of course if Officemax doesn't fuck it up again. So, Tatton, hopefully you're reading this and give me a good time to call so you can help me put it in. Still no word on my CD player, though. I want it so bad!! I got some information though that there's some dock strike in CA and that could be blocking the shipment of them, which is why my place hasn't gotten them back in stock. Suck. I wish I knew someone who knew about these things so I knew what stuff I would have to buy seperately. Gah! Why don't any of you know about cars?!
I should find out this Sat. about the flights. I got Wyrm's wedding present bought, too, so just a few more x-mas presents and hopefully I can cut back on spending to save up for the trip. I think the craft fairs are done for awhile, too, so that should help in the financial sector.
Hopefully I can get 'em cheap. I've got a number of papers to do in the next few days along with a powerpoint presention. I can't wait for this semester to be over. Gragrl.
On the gaming side of things, I did get Taiko Drum Master and Karaoke 3 with the mic. Props to Namco for bringing out Japanese niche games like Taiko and Katamari, but I think Taiko could have been a lot better. The songs are really not meant for percussion since they just *had* to include an American rock/pop category. I would have liked more actual taiko songs or like dance songs that actually have a beat you can follow. Also, the drum is pretty unresponsive for me and I'm not sure what the "sweet" spots are. But I've been having a lot of fun with Karaoke. Duet mode is awesome! George and Guillome just switch off and i get to sing with everybody! Once again, I take issue with the song list though, as most of them are those fucking whiny guy bands that just bitch about howt he girl needs to do everything while he gives nothing in return. I still can't even tell most of those song apart. The True Duets are sometimes lame too, with the parts being really lopsided. But it's worth it just to be able to have two people singing at once. Hopefully they get off this fucking American music they got out of the bargain bin jag and put some Japanese or DDR songs on it. Or even stuff from Amplitude. You know, stuff that might actually be fun to sing!? At least they added some game songs, but the MGS one just sounds like a lame-o James Bond song, but the Silent Hill one is okay. I really wish they would've put the song from the joke SH3 ending in. "Sirent Hill! Sirent Hill!" That would've been freakin' awesome. And I'm just gonna wait for Donkey Konga to go on sale. *sigh*
Waitin' for my Mega64 dvd to come in the mail too. Here's to hopin'!
