:( Well, I'm out of the contest. My last picture quality just wasn't good enough and I knew it. I really shouldn't have put it off til the last minute, but I didn't get the whisk until that morning. *sigh* Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. Maybe another contest will start up that I can enter. I need to get a lot better at lighting techniques though. And it might help if my living room lights actually worked...
I also think I suffered from the placement. Mine looked really small compared to the one above. I guess I should have maxed them out at 600x600, but since I just pulled them out of flickr they were only 478x500 or something. So, lessons for next time...

Seriously. A lot of them that photographed nice seem to have gotten through even though I didnt' really think they had much to do with the theme. I mean a lot of them left me going, "What's so bon appetit about that?" There was little food or anything edible in them. [/bitter] Story's was really awesome too.

Yeah, I really thought your shot should have gone through too. It's funny, I actually picked the majority of the pics. I'm kinda shocked at some of the accepted ones. They accepted a lot that I considered really busy and uncomfortable to look at. I agree too that some of them really didn't fit the theme.

I'm sorry sempai. But now you have passing challenge 1 experience!

But I would seriously like to know what these judges look for first. I would never have picked some of those that passed. They didn't express the theme very well at all. I think the judges do look at photo clarity/lighting technical stuff first & then the theme creativity next.

oh well... something to remember for next time when you kick all their butts!
