Let's hope my luck is straightening out again. I'm way too laissez faire for these kinds of things. Not gonna get much of a recovery time either, cause now I have to go back to planning for Socorro. I did win $20 on a $2 scratcher though and then another 6 on the subsequent one!

At least it's not a major trip so I shouldn't be spazzing about details like I am for the big ones. One thing I love about New Mexico is you just find out which direction the city is in and start driving that way until you hit it. Looks like I'm finally going to be driving in Albuquerque traffic, too. I've never driven in a big city before so this should be interesting, but I figure I should do it at some point, right? I need to get all my cds in order though, cause my stupid arby's cup leaked on half of them and they're all sticky and non-functioning at the moment. And speaking of, I'm pretty disappointed with the Heroes OST, which I don't think any of you are remotely intersted in, but just in case. The "pop" music is crappy and there's only about 4 tracks of the instrumentals which is what I was after. Oh and the "opening song" is exactly as it is on TV. 12 seconds long. Seriously, you guys couldn't make an extended version?

Well, at least the Internet came back up at work this morning just after 8am. It had been down since Friday at 7:30am!! We can't even complain though cause the company gives it to us for free, but geez. It was hard sneaking around on minesweeper at the desk and I got caught a few times. Now I'm addicted to it. :( Ugh and I have to do the radio tomorrow. I don't want to...Oh, but it will be my first time Live on the Internetz. Apparently the station is doing live streaming now. So if ya'll are bored and want to hear about events in a city you've never been to, tune on in!

In continuing with my Domestic Intervention theme this week, my mom came over on...Sat? Sunday? I don't even remember. One of those, to help me clean my house. She got the kitchen very nice and the living room's a hell of a lot better than it was. The cat's can sprawl again. I got them some mailbox thing which they ignore of course. At least I didn't pay the original asking price of $55 though!! I would've been piiiissed. So it's nice to have space again. I'm sure it will help my brain in some way right?

And in doll news? I bought her. Well, accepted the replacement, I guess I should say. I'm sure Mom is right in that I went against what she said and then I'll be spazzing that I should have listened to her, but she was so purty. I emailed right after about a pair of eyes for my tiny bjd, but she didn't see it til after the refund so I'm getting those for free, only $5 but oh well. Maybe there will be some surprises. But then I emailed to make sure the other stuff I had ordered was mailed with her and...nope. Kinda my fault since I meant to put everything in one email, but I was deciding if I should get a wig and more eyes or whatever and just spaced adding the other stuff til after, so they had to send that seperately. So now I feel a little bad. But at least it's only coming from CO so I'm expecting it here Friday, but maybe hopefully Thursday.

PS finally put NeoNoir up for Preorder so I threw my name in! It's been awhile so I hope I remember to pay, but since I'm looking forward to her, I should. Way cheaper than VotD too. And rumor has it, she'll have a new Type 4 body!! Can't wait for January now! Well, Feb's more like it probably.

Oh and I'm never giving BAM my patronage again. After making me wait 4 weeks on that damn book order, they email me that it's been cancelled cause they don't have it. This is exactly what I was afraid of and why I emailed that stupid lady who was all condescending to me and if she had just freaking looked and told me that it was not forthcoming I could have been shopping elsewhere. So now I'm just going to wait on ebay and hope I can pick it up for a decent price. Like the $50 in Las Cruces, who wants $20 shipping for 200 miles...*sigh*

And because this update isn't long enough, Halloween! The theme for the Potter's Guild this year is Mad Hatter's Tea Party (it always takes fads at least 2 years to make their way down to the desert) and Mom's doing the Queen of Hearts, so I'm gonna do the hatter. I thought about White Rabbit, but the fabrics were ugly so I'm modifying that outfit. Finally bought the fabric though it came to 25 bucks on sale, in solid colored broadcloth! Lame. But at least I can use it for Halloween as well as the show. I need to find a cheap teapot and cup to drag around with me though and read the book to see what funny things I can say. Oh and I'm hoping to get my hair dyed next weekend with blue stripes this time, I think so hopefully it doesn't clash since I'm doing purple/black/green for the suit. Anyone else have any costume plans?

Guess that's enough rambling. Time to go get caught up on 4 days of LJ entries!
