Need some aesthetics help!
Jan. 3rd, 2009 09:15 pmI still can't decide on eye color for the bjds I'm updating, so I could use some help! And don't be afraid to give advice cause it'll make you a part of the creepy doll thing, just think of it as helping choose colors or visual aid assistance. ;D
Here's an idea of the colors available, but if you have other ideas, let me know and I can go shopping elsewhere. ;)

First is Tessa. The cross-eyed look is my fault! They got repositioned and I just haven't gotten around to fixing them, it's not the eyes! I'm thinking about changing hers to a royal purple maybe or a darker green? But if others think that color of green is fine, I'll leave them.

She's so pretty....*sigh*
Next! Adam! I'm thinking jewel tones, bright blue, green(prolly too close to Tessa's unless I change hers...) or a violet? That might be too girly though.

And...the still nameless one. If you have one of those to bust out for her lay it on me as well! Light's kind of crappy one these, but I'm hoping if I get a smaller size, they at least won't look like black pits into the abyss. Maybe...brown? I have no idea with her.

Found another pic in better light:

And the newest niblet...I actually wasn't planning on new eyes for her since I like the color, but I'm noticing they're set pretty back, might be too small, but maybe I can fix that on my own. Anyways, this one needs a wig and I want to go non-fur and maybe natural? Kemper's got hot pink pigtails, and a violet wig, but high shipping, DDE's got more natural colors--blonde, auburn, carrot, black...I might just see what I can find cheap though.

And since it's already spammed up with pics, here's the doll I just bought. Angell-studio so I couldn't resist. I'm hoping the makeup is just as much love as it is with Tessa. ;)
This is the promo photo from the company:

and this is how he looks from the seller:

He's a Gus and about 11 inches tall, about YoSD or Bambicrony size. Which of course, those wigs and clothes aren't the same size as *any* of the other dolls I have. When will I learn? BUT, he comes body blushed, with faceup, 3 wigs and a Wickedstitchery outfit, which seems to be worth at least $25-30 judging from their etsy store(I don't know what it looks like, though.) He's been through 2 pairs of hands, but he was $50 under the base cost(blank doll) buying from DDE, and the faceup and bodyblushing would have been an extra $80!! So too good a deal to resist even though I would have preferred one oft he happier-looking tinies.
And the wigs might be a rather moot point cause....I'm pretty sure I'll be...turning him into a girl. *cough* He's just too pretty!! And when they're tiny and you put wig and clothes on, you can't tell what's underneath! Just like real kids. ;) Stupid Mintoncard is down though they had nice 6/7 wigs on sale cheap, but of course I didn't buy them since I didn't think I'd get that size doll any time soon. >_>
Anyways, opinions are sought and much appreciated.
That and the herd almost drove me to catocide today, but I'll have to get into that later since this post is going to be huge anyways.
