It started with the role-playing search yesterday, but I ended up just started at the beginning and reading through the first few months of my posting. God bless, did I ramble and whine about inane shit. I very much hope I've matured at least somewhat since then, even if my posts haven't gotten much more interesting. It's helped having more people's to read so that I could figure out what I'm actually supposed to be writing about and in what format. I was initially galled by my lack of paragraphing, but I recall that being a big flaw of semagic or whatever that program was.
Then as I mentioned wanting to rewatch Sailor Moon, I remembered that I actually do have the third season bootleg that I'd gotten in a lot off of ebay. So I popped it in to check out the quality and man, did the memories come flooding back. I had forgotten what a "moonie" I was in high school, but I would wake up at 6am (crazy for me) to watch/record it and in fact, Sailor Moon is how
serisun and I got started as friends.
It was also all I did when we first got the Internet, lo those many years ago. Collecting images, printing out store pages of the Japanese figures I'd never heard of, looking up episode guides, tracking news postings, downloading 30 sec clips of scouts I'd never seen and marveling at them speaking in Japanese. And good old anime music videos.
Then discovering fansubs and saving up to order the tapes from VKLL or trading with Chloe for them and then discovering all the other anime series out there available instead of just the same 10 tapes from Blockbuster and Hastings.
There's no real point to this post other than putting my thoughts on "paper", so I apologize for therandomness. The quality of the dvds is pretty good though and it actually has the english dubs on the episodes too, not that I have any interest in watching that. Funny how some things don't change over the years. I'll watch the first 2 season, but when they made Serena into a fifty year-old lady, I just have to rip my ears off.
And as an aside to Naomi:

Can you recall what that was about? I finally remembered after a 30 minute struggle, lol.
