Hallo all. I've been lax about posting lately, but I've just been kind of blase in general, I guess. That hasn't stopped me from buying plenty of crap though! I think only one or two of you guys on my Flist will even comprehend most of this post, so fair warning. ^_^

Let's see, I ordered 5 Brownies back in May since they're on a big sale and come with clothes, eyes, wig and faceup for under $100. They had been over $200 originally. They keep adding new ones though, which is driving me nuts! But I think I've got Mom convinced to buy the one with my namesake, so I don't have to. And one of those five is one that I bought for her, so it evens out, I think. Here's the Amanda one:

At least most aren't too tempting since that new headmold makes it look like half of them have eye infections, lol:

Also bought a 17cm Cherishdoll from that Tinybear lady who makes the wigs. Never got a shipping confirm from her, though I don't think she's ripping me off or anything. I just have no idea when to expect it. Or what mold it is. I thought Lani, but I think she's 21cm, so wtf knows. She'll just be my discount LatiYellow, since the prices on those things have gotten out of control for the week or so Lati actually lets you buy them. >_>

And...since I can't stop rescuing Angell Studio tinies from the Marketplace on DoA, I just got in another Tiny Gus, who will remain a boy to be brother to Pink Gus who became a girl. He's white skin though and currently in PJs, giving him a nice sickly child look. And I've got a WS Momo coming along that was too cheap to pass up. And...the two I bought directly from Angell Studio are tinies as well. I got in just in time for the free faceup promotion, which pretty much just cancelled out the shipping and paypal fees. Though I'm glad I didn't go with the person on ebay with free shipping since she seems to be getting dolls that "fell off the factory line" so to speak. Crazy black market dolly drama.

But now with all these niblets coming, I need clothes cause...I'm really bad about buying clothes for the bjds since everybody's a dang different size. But all these AS ones are YoSD-sized so I can hopefully get a wardrobe of some sort going. But I'm cheap and finding decently-priced, decently-nice clothes is a pain. I think I'm going to put in an order with MintonCard though and I can get a decent shirt for Adam(SD boy doll) since right now his summer outfit makes him look like a gay j-rock guy or something. And they have tiny Animal Crossing playsets. So presh.

And hopefully I can get stuff together for the DoA contests. It's their fifth anniversary and there's sewing, photo and prop-building contests with actual dolls as prizes. Don't think I'll win, but at least it gets me doing something with the dolls. I wish I was still in college so that I had the time and energy to do projects like this. Oooh, one is trying to make a couture sock dress too. I've got design ideas, but execution...*shudder*

Anyhow, I just wanted to spazblarg about all the dolls I'm a waitin' on. If you got through all of that, doll person or not, you rock!

Wait, you mean your doll ISN'T a gay J-Rock guy?? I thought they all were!

I think I'm going to wait on the Dollheart clothes and just pick up some nice basics from MoC. You saved my life with that website. :)

Aaaand, that's pretty much why I never post pics of him on DoA. He seems to be of the 1% boy doll population that is not gay and does not dress in girl's clothes. I am sad to say that the tank he's in now is a girl's one though. *shame* He looks funny though, so I enjoy it on an ironic level. I took pics, I just need to upload them on one of the few nights there's not a lightning storm and I can power up my desktop.

No problem, I'm glad I could help! I know people say "Well you already spent that much on the doll, so you should spend a lot to buy it good clothes", but I find cheap clothes, then I can get more dolls!

I'm waiting for Dollheart to do another Fukubag sale because I actually liked pretty much everything I got from that and thought it was worth the price. Oh yeah, Featherfall's doing another grab bag sale, but no clothes this time?? Grab bags are one of my many weaknesses, but I can't decide which sizes to get and wigs are so all-or-nothing in terms of using them.

Oh yeah, I meant to post in your other topic on freaky dolls, but have you seen the demon fetuses that MoC is a dealer for? Hehe, I want one, but not for the price they are!

!!! Demon fetuses? I will have to investigate.

It's unfortunate there aren't more clothing styles on DoA. The few dolls I've found that I really love seems to be unpopular with other forum goers.

I'm also really tired of people sticking the word punk in their titles and then opening the thread to find a bunch of dolls in frills and plaid and platforms. Oh, and crosses.

THe company has some promo pics somewhere of them like trying to raep each other or something...BJD companies really scare me sometimes with the WTF are they thinking.

Oh lordie, I know, I am so sick of the lolita thing at this point. My taste in dolls seems to skew on the unpopular side as well. I like happy dolls, but that doesn't seem to be what anyone else prefers. I really don't understand why all the clothes are so expensive. $100 for an outfit is nuts when I could buy like 5 for me on that. This will sound horrible, but they're coming from countries that make that kind of stuff really cheaply, right? And even if not exploiting, there's enough technology with sergers and stuff that it shouldn't be that complicated. The SD sized clothes aren't much smaller than most baby clothes. I'd love to do more of the character dress-ups and stuff, but I just can't justify $80+ on one doll outfit.
