I got my Sailor Moon Renewal manga in already! I was worried since I shipped it SAL which has no tracking and can take forever, but I think it was only 2 weeks max. So pretty! And they are indeed all first issue so the super cute sticker sheets are in all of them including the 2 short stories volumes. One of them has ONE sticker missing though, which is slightly D: but I'm trying not to let it bother me, lol. To Snarky_Imp, the short stories aren't new, just the Luna human story, Chibiusa after school diaries and Ami's First Love story, compiled separately. If you have any other questions, let me know! ;)

I was getting highly frustrated with costume shopping this year. Walmart had some great ones in plus-size for really good prices last year, but this year EVERYWHERE is nothing but skank wear. Sexy Ninja Turtles? Really? Would kind of like something work and plus-size appropriate costume makers. Blah.

I was just going to do pirate, but saw Medusa and was like score! That was just a black toga, but Target has a white one on clearance that I just ordered. Finding the snakes is turning out to be kind of a pain in the ass and I'm not sure how making the headpiece is going to work out, but fingers crossed that I can pull this off.

And in last week's news, my lab results were ALL perfectly normal. Which is good for the cholesterol and all that, but also included the thyroid. But Deanne said that a friend of her's doctor put her on the meds anyway with normal lab results and it worked great for her, so I think at my follow-up I'll mention that the sleeplessness and all that hasn't gone away. Of course I've always had that problem, so it could just be that I'm doomed to be a lazy, tired person. *sigh*

Heidi made Cassandra a really cool medusa outfit last year. She basically hot glued a pile of rubber snakes onto a wide head band for the snake wig and it came out great.

Yup, that's pretty much what I'm doing, though I'm going to cut up a baseball cap I got at the dollar store for the base, so hopefully I can get enough snakes to cover it. I'm going to have to order the snakes blind online though which could be a problem. :|

I think I remember that some of the artwork was changed and/or just cleaned up, but I haven't done side-by-side comparisons, yet. The new covers are preeetty, though. Lots of Chibi Chibi. They have the first few pages in color as well, which I'm thinking was only in the 1st editions of the Japanese original manga. I'll have to dig out that, as well, to see if it's the poster inserts.

Lol, I hadn't even thought about that, but I guess I am! Will do! Well, I will if it doesn't turn out ass, lol. I can't decide if 14" or 7" snakes would be better?

Ideally a mix would be best, I'd think. For variation and all. That said, I'm not sure how well the longer ones would work if you wanted them to stand out/up. Ask Deuce. ;)

That's a really cool costume idea. I've still yet to come up with one myself but I agree that it's getting harder & harder to find cool costumes for adults that aren't skank wear. When did Halloween become a lingerie holiday? :(
