zalliaWell, I got all excited seeing Snarky_Imp's post about getting Ghoulia and Holt at Target and then checking online to show that they were available at my Target! I had been there this morning and not seen them, so I printed out out the page and unfortunately the associate that came had immediate bitchface which turned out to be accurate. Apparently they all have the same number, but she didn't even go to the back to check, just looked in the handheld thing and was like Nope, all the same! I'll keep the paper with me and maybe find someone friendlier to ask next time.
But on the way out, something else caught my eye. A Petite Blythe! WTF? Apparently, Blythe teamed up with Littlest Pet Shop for lord knows what reason, but it tripped me out enough to buy this one:

They had the Christmas one too and if she's still there tomorrow, I'll probably pick her up as well. Their shoes are removable and hella tiny so I expect them to be lost post-haste. They have crazy spiral eyes too, so I'm going to do my best to terrify people with her, lol.

The guy at the second one was super nice and he checked his scanner to see which other stores were showing Monster High in stock, called a different store for me to ask about both Ghoulia and Holt, and had the person he spoke with put Ghoulia on hold because he said they had one. Then when I got to the third Target I had Ghoulia AND Holt waiting for me and the guy there said, "I couldn't really tell what the other person was asking me but he said something with an H and something with a G so I just put both of them on hold." O_O
And the basic assortment dolls do have the same number but if she were showing some in stock she should have opened a box for you. That sucks. I hope you get them!

Luckily I go to Target several times a week, so I'll just keep checking and Walmart *should* be due for a restock any minute now. I hope to see pics of yours soon!

I was surprised to see the DotD tags at Target. I actually saw all three girls at Toys R Us about two weeks ago. I'm trying to stick to my one character-one doll rule but then I saw that someone has a Gloom Beach Clawdeen already and I pretty much have given up any hope of not amassing an army of MH dolls. I will be so excited if Jackson's hair is blue (it looked black to me in that very shakey footage) because then I'll be able to be like, "GUESS WHAT MOM YOU WERE TOTALLY RIGHT ABOUT THE ORANGE/BLUE OPPOSITES THING WITH HOLT".
Anyway, what I wanted to say is, it looks like new Sailor Moon dolls are being made.

And now since it seems we might get indoctrinated with a whole slew of new ones, I'm going to do my best and just be patient and get them as I may. I really really want Jackson, though. Just that brief glimpse gives me the feeling that I may have finally found a favorite in this line.
ZOMG I Saw that!! I was spazzing at everyone in sight yesterday, lol. I think they're really cute! It was pissing me off that people were bitching because seriously if you like the old ones go buy those! Why would you want the same thing over and over?? And Princess Serenity figure! Gah, I can't wait for this stuff! I'm still trying to play catch-up on a lot of the old merchandise, but I'm really looking forward to these dolls!

Date: 2010-10-20 01:07 am (UTC)Jackson is sooooooo cute. I think I have a crush on a doll (and that hair! *swoon*). heheh. The Holt facemold translated well to a "normie" guy. I'm already trying to figure out what I can put into storage/sell so I can fit all of the new MH stuff into my current displays. The shelf I was using for them is full.
I thought the Sailor Moon dolls are cute, too. :/ I only wish they had articulated bodies because I'm a sucker for articulation. I don't really know why people are coming down on them so hard. Oh well. People will probably complain and then when they're released we'll be reading about how they're cute because that's how it always goes with collector cliques.
