Settling in...

Well, it's been awhile since I've updated this thing, but it hasn't been totally my own fault. I moved out and I'm 90 miles away at college for the first time. My apartment's small and rather bleak right now, but I'm going to try and spiffy it up. I was also supposed to have Ethernet through the school, but of course my hall got gypped and I have to pay for dial-up. My first day trying to get stuff done was pretty horrible and I ended up bawling the walk back to the apartment, but now that class has started and I don't have to deal with beaurocracy, it's better. It's pretty lonely here though, and I have the feeling it will be for as long as I'm here. I've never been good at making friends as you can tell, since I have trouble just making them on the 'net. Worrying about my major and what I'm going to be doing next year and if I'll be able to do this alone. Good news is I think I'll be able to lose weight, since I do a lot of walking around campus, poorness is a good diet strategy and I have time to sit around and exercise.
There was a COB ice cream social today and I mainly went to get free ice cream. There wasn't much socializing to be done. It was mainly old people, none of them teachers of mine.

Your so brave! You can make friends Zal. Just say hello and make idle chitchat and soon people will start talking and hanging out with you.
Was that ice cream good at least? There was some sugar cookies outside my humanities class today.. I stole 3 of those. They wern't bad.
It's kind of lonely here now. Leo works, George works, your gone, Angie's gone, and Rob is non-existant or something. Guess I could be finishing up video games and stuff. *sigh*
I'm looking forward to friday. ^_^
We just both have to hang in there I guess.

Lol, it's easier said than done. I've had some people say "how you doin'?" but I just think they're teasing me or something.
It was just vanilla but they had a lot of topping choices so it wasn't all bad. I got a lot of my book read too. ^_^ I'm pretty hungry so I'm looking forward to East Lake on Friday.
My mom said Rob called the house, but I told him I'd be up here. I guess he can just e-mail me if he needs to. Bleh.
