Do the window before reading my buggy post!
Still coming off a migraine from this morning. :( Sucks.
I saw Lady in the Water last night. It was really great. I recommend to everyone, as the previews were pretty crapastical for it. I went in thinking it was horror and the lady was bad, but not at all. It talks about people having their place in the world through certain talents and abilities.
Well, I was really dwelling on that after I got home, that meager hope that one act can make a difference for something, when what do I do? Drop my root beer into the center divider of my car right into the gear shift and on all my CDs. Man just the sudden impact of that moment was like a slap in the face. What's my place in life? To fuck things up. Yup, I lost it, I bawled. That movie had already had me in tears (the music's amazing, by the way), so yeah.
Do other people do that too? Dwell on your mistakes and just keep a running tally in your head, until it gets you down so bad, you just can't stand yourself? Or is it just me? Probably just me, huh. Damnded low self-esteem. Oh, I should probably post this so you don't read it until after the Johari window thing so that you don't put all kinds of suck words there.

No, it's definitely not just you. We all do it (some of us more than others...). Just remember you have lots of friends who love you and would love to lend an ear when you're feeling down. It's easier to realize what a good person you are when you allow yourself to see who you are through your friends eyes.

Date: 2006-08-09 07:33 pm (UTC)We all have our moments like this. We all fuck things up, most often our own lives. I'll actually count up major mistakes in my life from time to time and wonder what could of happened if I did anyone of them differently. I think I'm up to about 10 now. By all means let yourself get really down about it, maybe have a good cry, but afterwards just pick yourself back up, call up your friends, and have some fun.
