Made it okay!
Apr. 9th, 2007 11:46 amI made it to Ohio safely once again. The trip was pretty rough starting with a three hour delay in Roswell of all places, then a half hour one in Albuquerque along with a guy with gas on the 2hr40min flight from Alb to Chicago next to me on the flight and then fighting off sheer exhaustion for the last leg. *sigh* But at least I don't have to go to work this weeek! JOY!
I met Tatton's friend Doug yesterday at "The Compound". It was less fortress than I was expecting, but I still had fun. We mostly played Wii and drove around in a "deuce and a half"? Some really big old army truck. Reminded me of the bearcat at NASA. And of course, the weather here is snowy in cold in April, just to spite me.
We're shopping and meeting his co-workers tonight, which is making me nervous, but at least it's a casual restaurant so the atmosphere won't be as uptight.
I got my Pullip, too! YAY!! For those of you (everyone) who don't know what I'm talking about, I've recently taken on ball-jointed dolls as my new obsession. These are really articulated, posable dolls from Japan (and also really expensive). Pullips come put together, but dollfies you can fully customize yourself. denofangels.com I think, is a really good site if you want to check it out and www.pullipstyle.com is good for the pullips. I'm going to take some pictures of her and become one of those crazy people who make online stories with my dolls! It's going to be awesome! Thanks Tatton for my awesome, fantabulous early birthday present!!
