Feeling depressed lately, so I bought a few dolls to try and amend that. I was going to try and get the Snow White and Military Momokos, but SW I'd probably just leave stock and not play with her and Military I'm still hoping to get cheaper. But I joined the forum and someone posted a link to a store that was selling deboxed ones for 2500yen a piece. No boxes means EMS isn't very insane(they had boxed SW but the shipping became outrageous) so I ordered the 3 cheap ones they had left--Poodle Hair and Crazy Eyes for me and Boy Cut for my Mom as repayment for groceries. Funny how dolls have become a monetary system in my family now, lol. If any of you want the link for the shop, just let me know.

Man I'm more tired being able to sleep in than not. Been wondering about my future lately and asking myself if this is all there is for me. I'd always figured I'd have a husband and a couple kids, but I'm seriously doubting that and the prospect of dying the crazy old cat/doll lady becoming real rather than a running gag is really downheartening. I think when Robert's back at work I'm going to try and organize a bowling night for us and the younger staff members so at least I have some semblence of connections with other people.

The funeral Wednesday was.....Catholic. I was angry for the first half hour or so of it because there was NOTHING about the actual person!! Just recitations that had no meanings to anybody, no passion, no interpretations of how they applied to this situtation and when the priest finally did talk about him it was just self-serving about how he came back to the church at the end and that made everything all right. Well apparently not, since he died, so what does that say about your church?? The only personal stuff was by 2 of his nieces, so that's when I finally teared up and it was over far earlier than we had anticipated. I never even had to use my giant wad of kleenex stuffed in my pocket. I know the funeral is for the living, but man some personal touches would have gone a long way. When I die, even though there will probably not even be enough people to fill a bench, I at least want someone to talk about me even if it's bad stuff. :p Or hold the Amanda Davis Memorial Mario Party Tournament. Heh, that would be sweet.

And in related news, these are awesome:

I've pretty much felt the same way lately, although I think of it more as just trying to find a player 2. I guess you just have to keep hoping that somewhere out there is a guy who really loves cats and rampant consumerism. If by some strange cruel twist of fate I actually live longer than you I'll have some awesome stories to tell at your wake. Also if you leave the cats to me in your will I'll raise you from the dead just so I can kill you myself.

hehe, yeah I was pretty much thinking of it at night that I need someone else in the house to keep my rampant fear of aliens, bigfoot, chubacapras and ghosts at bay.

If you organize the Tourament you can just use the proceeds to set up a house for the cats and hire a caretaker for them. ;)

The ex and I had a running joke that when/if Death came for him and actually caught him, I was to insist on him going in a Hefty bag and then wail about it being too soon, even if he was a hundred, assuming no one else was doing the full on wailing. If they were, I was to point and laugh and say it was about damn time.

Which I still plan on doing, only not quite in the way he probably intended then. :P

I tend to zone out at funerals, mostly because the religious aspect tends to go on and on and the personal stuff is too far into it. But I'll freely admit musical choices will make me cry like a girl if the actual service hasn't. When I croak, I don't want people examining their own mortality, damn it, I want them to miss ME. The next day they can ponder their own lives.

I suspect highly that I'll be crazy cat lady, too. Only... with just the one cat of my own. But if I find someone awesome, I'll ship 'im your way. Which might confuse him, but if you no likey, you can always let him run free.

Oooh yeah, that was another thing. The funeral was only about an hour but they sang at least 10 songs, I think some repeats, it seemed like every 5 sentences they would start another and it wasn't even anything I recognized like "Amazing Grace". Just "Joyful Joyful" at the end, but it just left me waiting for the Sister Act version to no avail. :p And the ups and downs for random speakings. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason as to which prayers required a standing and which didn't.

Maybe we should dig pit traps in each of our respective cities to try and catch the guys for us. Cause if mine's there and yours is here...it's a better plan than all these damn online places are yielding so far. Gross 40 yo creeps. :(

...I do not understand the point of numerous useless songs. Sadly, my dealings with Catholic funerals is nil. Services, yes. But not funerals. One of the managers at work complained about the weirdness of a Catholic wedding he went to and I asked if there was a whole bunch of kneeling and he said yes, to which I had to point out that I'm 99% positive that the whole point of Catholicism is to cause pain.

Ick to the 40 y/o creeps. Ick! Yush, we shall dig pits and every so often go out and check on them, take pictures, and throw the uninteresting ones back.

the star trek urn looks pretty cool, actually. if it didn't have the logo on it that would probably Embarass My Loved Ones For All Eternity, I'd consider it.

however, did you notice this page? http://eternalimage.net/precious.php

gah!!

lol The embarrassment is exactly why I'd want to do it.

Yup, that was the first one I found cause my coworker likes PM so I was freaking her out with it. At least it has an angel on it though, those sports ones just seem incredibly tacky to me.

I don't know where it went, but I also found one that was a giant Marlboro box. Classy.

Actually I think my dad would like it if we buried him in a giant Marlboro box.

Ha, no problem I do the same thing to people since my social helpfulness is minimal at best. ;)

Here's the outfits and nudies:
http://biccoltd.ocnk.net/product-list/45

and some of the boxed ones are marked down nicely too, though there's a sharp difference in the weight so the shipping goes up. I almost got Poodle in her outfit, cause I really like it, but opted out. Hm, now I'm regreting that. Dag. Wish they'd still had the loose one. Here's the regular ones:

You don't have any Momokos yet, right? I'm starting to feel like a drug dealer or something, lol.

It's funny, our boss actually predicted he would die as soon as she left town (I think he waited so it was a final spite, as he seeriously died like 10 minutes after she would have left for day) and set the wheels in motion for that. Since it's the city that governs us I'm sure it was a bitch.

*Hugs back* Thanks for all your hugs that pick me up. :)

You're not my dealer LOL I've been trying to get a cheap Momoko for several months. I keep missing them on DM, Lisa_Ann keeps beating me to them :P I have a couple pairs of Momoko shoes and boots- they make the mini Doc Martens and Creepers (not the BIG ones- the ones that are rubber and actually FIT pullip. I've been wanting Mama Told Me and Lazy 17... and this one with BIG black afro type hair, but can't justify the cost.

I bought my Wanda from that site- sold her, too, but thats where I got her. They were pretty good.

Ah, I would have so many more Momokos if they were at a decent price!! I don't understand why they're so expensive, though! Midnight Crossing is my grail, but will never ever be. I like that new Miss Weekend Bitter or w/e she is. I saw people talking about the shoes, but they're expensive? I'm scared to look. I was looking at those back to basics set and really like the red/black one and then looked at the price==$400!!! They all kind of start looking the same too, at least, so that means once I have a few, I won't want too many, right? I have the Folklore one cause she was on clearance w/ mimiwoo and I got Cafe au lait nude from TIB.

I just got my ship notice for mine. Are you going to order any??
