What happened to my TGIF?

Well, my aunt is having all kinds of crises, both medical and financial so mom's putting off our trip to AZ to visit my grandma(yay!). I know that sounds horrible, but I've barely spent any time with ANY of my extended family members. Grandparents, cousins, aunts/uncles...hardly ever see them and so hardly even know them. Though I do know my grandma is bat. shit. crazy. of the sociopathic and ocd variety and my mom's got HEAPS of issues with her, so it's not like it will be a real bonding experience or anything. But I just got a note from my boss that it's my turn to go to the New Mexico Library Association conference in Albuquerque again (I went when I first started 3 years ago), so that would give mom her trip to Alb and bar any surrounding trips at that time. Looks like the Children's librarian is the other one going and I'm sure she will since she has fam in alb, so that will be nice even if mom doesn't want to go, though she'd probably be spending most of her time with her family.

George sent me the link to an anime con in Alb at the end of July that I want to try to go to. But Mom said the doll show in Texas is also at that time, but I dunno if she'll get it together by then for us to get there. So I'll have to see how it goes in the meantime. I really want to go some place now and I realized I hadn't been to Alamagordo in ages. Since high school I think. I'd love to take pics of White Sands and the Space Museum. I'd ask Deanne, but I don't feel I know her well enough for that...I wish stuff wasn't so farflung in this state. I love the driving, don't get me wrong,  but I know my mom would freak about it and Robert will flake, not that he would probably agree in the first place. I wish I could find people I like down here.

I was trying to keep stuff off the CC, but someone was selling an Angell Studio MSD body at half the retail price. AS is my faaave bjd company and I don't have one in that size or skintone. I think I'm going to go with the Vera head.

I don't know why DDE doesn't have her as an option for the full doll or I would've linked there. The skintone's butter and the only example they have is Gus, so I'll take a chance that I'll like the faceup anyways. I like how they do a different faceup for each skintone, but I wish they would actually put an example pic of each one so you could see. I like Leira too, but I think she'd look better in pink. At least i can wait for the next cycle to buy it from DDE. They say it comes with eyes and wig, but the primary site doesn't state that so I won't count on it. I might have to buy some clothes too, since I'm desperately lacking in the MSD sized department.

I was all set to take doll pics yesterday too, but all I had to do was put shoes on Gus and Noir and in that time it turned from nice and sunny to freak 30mph dust storm. No rain, like promised, of course. I need to take pics of the new momokos too and Tessa's chinese new year dress and new eyes. Le sigh. Oh crap, I need to pay for some ebay auctions too. Someone had the FFVI keychains I'm missing, but I wasn't around when they ended and only got Terra(my fave, tho). Missed out on Edgar, Shadow and Kefka(though someone's got him BIN for a similar price). Apparently they did Chrono Trigger keychains too, which are AWESOME and only about $100 a set on ebay. :p
Just won some Heroes cards, though...mmmm...Sylar...*drool*
