Do the banks really like us hating them that much?

Gack, I totally forgot the Balloon rally was this weekend until I saw them in the air driving to work this morning. I was in a bad mood last year and took bad pics, so I'm hoping to redeem myself this year.

I got the Dollmore stuff today, Megan! So I'll be fussing with the dollies tonight. I also bought something awesome for the puki last night, which I'll share when it comes in the mail. Hee.

But then, that fun was extinguished because I got this fat envelope from Wells Fargo saying that they've paid my property taxes for the last 2 years and now want the money back. WTF!!!! I checked online and if this is a scam, it's not very common yet. But WF isn't even my damn mortage owner, so if they're stupid enough to just pay random taxes, then that's their own damn problem. I know I"ve gotten refund checks from Escrow the past couple of years, but I'm pretty sure it's only been around $130 and these are $225. I'm tempted to just wait until they go bankrupt or get bought out or something, but I guess I need to call either the local tax authority or my mortgage lender. But I seriously better not have to pay that back because my taxes are bundled with the payment so how would I even know about that? Ugh, stupid Wells Fargo!!

I did get paid today though! I thought it was next week, but it was this one. Gonna buy my chair tonight, but I'm doing good on holding out against Guilty Gear. I'll probably end up buying a herd of Brownies, though. At least I got the Barbie Munchkin pack for $7 at Tuesday Morning so I have a fair amount of clothes stocked up for Puki-sized dolls. Just need more girls to be able to wear them!

And of course, Robert's car has died, but he can still go if I go get him. Which in normal circumstances I wouldn't mind, but my house is on the very edge of town, perfect to leave for Ruidoso and his is about 10 miles away on the complete opposite end of town. So before we even leave that's an extra half hour added on to the trip. So I'll not be sleeping in at all this weekend. *emo-tear*

YAY for dolly stuffs! And not so much for a-holes at the bank :S Somehow I had no idea you owned your house. Not that it matters, it just makes me *smile* for you!

Aw, thanks! :) I have my mom to thank for that, cause I was just going to get an apt, but she was like, for the cost, you might as well be putting the money towards something. And after months of crappy searching, I found my perfect house, a few streets from my mom's, fenced in yard, quiet street. But it was sale pending!! But I waited the 30 days all crazy and it fell through. It's a pretty janky house though since they did a lot of their own repairs, but that means I also didn't have to pay a lot like I would nowadays!!

Wells Fargo is just one big corporation of scam. They kept pulling crap on my dad when he had an account with them. And then when my dad paid them off & tried to take the remainder of his money & leave. They tried to keep his money! So they're not above trying to get away with illegal crap. I truly hate Wells Fargo. Definitely call the tax authority or whoever you bought the house from and get the truth about that stuff. If Wells Fargo gets bought, the new company will think you "owe" it money, so definitely get it taken care of.

Hooray for the being paid & doll stuff tho! Boo on Robert's car.

Yeah, when I was trying to see if this was legit, I saw plenty of other complaints about WF shady practices on people that actually had mortgages with them. And it looks like I am going to have to pay it, but hopefully I can find the stubs and prove it was less money than what they're asking for. Blergh.
