I'm so tired today. I've been sleeping terribly for the last...month? Gawd. I woke up a few nights ago thinking my or the neighbor's house was on fire, but I think it was just the California smoke coming in with the storm. Or maybe the pecan orchards or something. Who knows, but wandering around the yard at 4:30 in the morning looking for phantom smoke doesn't lead to much restfulness, in addition to my usual plethora of apocolyptic or similarly disturbing nightmares. Last night was a new one of getting stuck in some kind of tornado full of lightning, being thrown around by wind and trying to grab onto somebody.
One from a few weeks ago had us driving back into town from a trip and as we were driving down my neighborhood, everyone had left their houses and were sitting in their cars because it was unsafe to be anywhere else, but especially in their houses, so the street was just lined with these people cowering in their cars and us wondering if it was safe to enter my house. Damn dreams.
 
Saw District 9 last week. I found it very unsettling and disturbing and it's unfathomable to me that it's being marketed as some summer adventure movie and that they're making a freaking video game on it. UGH. I actually started crying during the weapon-testing scene it was so uncomfortable to watch. Not saying it wasn't good in a dark way, but geez, at least prepare people.

And it's almost fair time again. I'm still trying to decide if I should enter more pics, or if I even have anything worth entering. I'd like to do a bjd this time, but I'm afraid they'll think I'm just riding the doll train again. Also means we need to go out and construct a fair booth for the library, but Deanne is still with us and if the fair director hasn't lied to me, we should be able to go throughout this month to actually, y'know, make it look presentable amidst all the burned out lightbulbs, peeling paint and broken asbestos tiles. We're going to head out there tomorrow morning and hopefully they'll have the grounds open. If not, we'll hang out at Sonic until we decide to go back to wor...I mean, we'll have to try again later.

I actually found a 500gb external hard drive on clearance at Target for $50. I need to see if it actually works since I don't think my comp has 2.0 usb slots, but if it does, that would be so much better than trying to burn everything to dvds. *fingers crossed* They had Heroes S3 too, which I hadn't planned on buying anytime soon, but it's on sale and has damn target bonus crap, so I'm going to be lame and buy it cause I'm ZQ's bitch. They even put him biggest on the cover. :( Oh! I got these awesome bookmarks though!

Oh oh! I finally got Minuk, too! My last of the Girls of Many Lands dolls! Next time I have the camera out, I'll grab one of the display. Well, no Kathleen, but unless I get the luck of the awesome and find her at a garage sale or goodwill or something, my set is complete. I need to see if Minuk was supposed to come with any accessories cause I thought she was supposed to have a bag, but maybe not. She came with her book though and since hers was my favorite, it all worked out. Even got her for less than my target price!
