Doll stuff!

zalliaGot my two BJDs today as I alluded to earlier, as well as a bonus third. The Shinku I bought last week showed up as well! I actually like her more than I thought I would but I need to get either her stock wig or something since I already have a Jolie wig...on Jolie. ^_^ She sent a lot of cute clothing too, which was cool! Here are some crap pics for tonight:
The niblet seems to be beckoning George's soul...O_o I think I'll want to change her eyes eventually too, even though I like the gold swirls in them now.
First impressions of the bjds....they're a lot harder to pose than I anticipated. I now understand the "kicky" that gets thrown around and the big one tummy-pops as bad as any type 2 which I didn't foresee. I don't know if this is a thing that can be solved with restringing of some sort, but I'm guessing it's just a result of my unrealistic expectations. :P
Another thing I didn't anticipate is how...flat she would be. Junkyspot had the immature body and denverdoll had the mature one. But JS had the tiny I wanted, so I just figured the immature bod would make her more waiflike or something. Nope, her chest is broad so when I put her in the teen trends clothing, she looks like a cross-dresser. *sigh* Mom joked she could make her a padded bra and I may take her up on that. Or maybe just turn her into a boy? She looks more pissed than I thought too. I have a crapton of fake eyelashes lying around so I'm hoping putting some of those on will help too if she remains a girl. Default eyes are brown, but I bought some blue to put in since I figured the default would suck and they do for a fairy. When I get ready to do faceups though I'm def starting with her. None of the Ello wigs mom has seem to suit her either, so I'm probably going to end up buying one since I think a non-natural color would do her better. But I can wait to find one for cheap like all my pullip wigs.
Oh and the reason I didn't get to mess with the big one, was cause I spent 2 hours trying to pry the wig off of a mini pullip. That seller that forgot to mail my Anne and Alice threw in a partial stock rudolph and since I already have her, and her wig wasn't of the horrendous quality that most of the other minis are, I decided to scalp her much to her dismay. Since I put nail polish remover on it, it's soaking so I haven't affixed it to the niblet yet. I actually found *something* for her to wear at least. I think it's a Blythe bra/panty set. So...anyone have blythe undies they don't need? :/ And ugh!! I found an orange jellie shoe that fits her perfectly, but I only have the one!! I must've gotten it in a goodwill bag or something. I don't even know what doll it's from! Frustrating! Actually the niblet looks sadder than I exptected too based on the pics I'd looked at, but hopefully a wig will help that.
They have given me further reason to learn how to sew though, because despite the DoA marketplace for dolls being split up by sizes the shoes and clothing are NOT and it's insane trying to browse that place if you only have a couple of dolls to dress. Double-especially when there's a ton of different sizes for the tinies alone. x_x
Oh man and upon taking the pics off the camera from tonight, I discovered like 300 pictures from Arizona that I never dl'ed along with the videos from the cosplay contest thing. Lawdie. Dunno when I'm going to muster up the urge to take care of that.
But on the plus side, Junkyspot's not stingy with the extras. I got a manga(vol 1 even!), a cute Korean White notebook, a chibi monchichi, a box of pocky, some hi-chew, a fortune fish and one of the infamous thongs. O_o Not sure I'd want to be advertising that my "spot" is junky. I think I would have preferred doll clothing, but at least there wasn't a gackt cd. :p Still pretty sweet!
