Work

Normally, I like the night shifts at work because it tends to taper off around 7 or so and is pretty quiet thereafter except for the occasional computer user and one or two reference questions, but otherwise it's calm and I can be on the internet or get work done or whatever, but tonight...

Well, first off, we've moved all the computer terminals--24 of them on giant wooden desks, to the complete other side of my reference desk because they're putting tile down on the floor since it just got ruined by all the chairs going moving and whatnot. So just having that drastic change is enough to shake me up. But then the tilers came back and are working after hours I guess so there's mixing and scraping and whatnot going on just to the left of me and loud noise always leaves me edgy. There is also no one over in children's tonight, so I have to cover that area as well and as per usual there's dipshit kids running around throughout the library with no parental supervision and other asshats on their cell phones, even after I tell them to get off.

THEN, the circ person in charge tells me we may have a problem. A group of kids earlier was calling one of our girls bad names for not letting them call all their friends on our phones and since they're all gangbangery and I'm pretty sure was already an incident over the weekend involving a throwdown not to mention other times they've been disruptive and so now they think they're back to hassle our poor girl.

I am just sooo stressed out right! Vein throbbing in my head stressed! I want my quiet night!! ;_;

Walking around the library with a baseball bat would solve some of these problems.

Although it may also opened up new problems. Just pretend you need it to walk; like a cane or something. :D
