Well, just finished the last batch of Fables books I'd gotten in. I hadn't expected to go this fast, but I got really drawn into the story. I only ordered the next 3 yesterday, so now I have to wait for the rest. Even though I found out who the adversary was (though I had pretty much guessed, it was still interesting), there was no Snow White or Bigby in this last book, so now I want to catch up with them. Oh, actually I'll have 4 to read since I already had vol. 8, but I had to get 7,9 and 10. And then I'll have to wait for Nov for 11 to come out. Guess which day? The 25th. Same freaking day as Chrono Trigger and Cooking Mama: World Tour. What is with that day? I'll be needing my money for Black Friday guys. Gah. Maybe by then I'll have earned a gift certificate though and that'll take care of that.

Just won a couple more kickits, too. There's one more ending in a few hours from the same lady that I'll try to snag. She ends right as I'll be closing up the library though which may prove troublesome. I haven't heard from the Lost Girls seller at all, so here's to hoping that they're just the type who never give you a ship notice and it will show up sometime this week. *crosses fingers*

I'm so freaking tired too. My new nightly routine is to fall asleep on the couch around 11:00 and then wake up again about 2:30 and stay up for another hour or so. Duuuuumb. I need to start remembering to take some sleeping pills and nip this in the bud.

Oh, The World Ends With You has turned out to be pretty cool. Looooove the soundtrack. It's kind of like interactive anime. Actual Jpop w/ singing in the background a lot and the intstrumental stuff is good, too. Haven't gotten far enough in to mess with the deeper mechanics of it, but the inital gameplay hasn't been too difficult to pick up, just a matter of figuring out the weirdo terminology. Robert's offered to loan me the Sonic RPG, but I'll wait a bit on that one. I'm thinking of picking up Guitar Hero III from Big Lots since it's $50 there and Gamestop just marked down the other 3 expansions to $20, though I think I can do without 80s. But actually I don't know or don't like a great many of the songs on those games, soooo, not sure on that one yet. Gamestop also has some game called Baroque for the ps2 down to $20, which I had never heard of, but looking into sounds really interesting. A very freeform RPG to the point where you're not even sure what your tasks are and something about waking up and needing to repent for your sins and having to figure out what those are. But I've been hella lame about not making time to play console games much lately, so I dunno. So much money to spend, so little of it actually owned. >_>

Well back to work and being annoyed by all the unruly kids waiting for computers. :/

Oh, someone else who's read it! Have you read all of them so far? Do you know if it's still going on or if 11's the end or near it? I can't wait for Bigby to come back and I think Snow's one of my favorite female characters from any media. Have you read the Jack books, too? What other graphic novels do you like?

Yeah, I've been with it from the start. I used to buy the individual issues, then started buying the graphic novels instead. I haven't heard any plans of cancellation, although the cover artist is leaving after 81. Wikipedia says there's an illustrated novel, a crossover with Jack, and a Cinderella mini coming up. I've got the Jack books as well. They're good, but not quite as good. I'm not a huge Jack fan, so issues full of him aren't as good as ones with the main cast. I love Snow, too, though I prefer Rose Red. I always have. Heh. Snow White and Rose Red has been my fave fairytale since I was really young.

As for other stuff, I love everything I've ever read by Garth Ennis (although he's so prolific, I don't think I've even gotten through half of it). Preacher is my fave comic of all time. Love his Punisher, too, and The Boys. Y: The Last Man is excellent, although I HATE the ending. Wanted is great. Sin City is phenomenal. I'm a big Hellboy fan. I read some Marvel stuff, too, like the Classic graphic novels for Excalibur and New Mutants. I've always enjoyed Exiles. Runaways is great. I'll check out anything by Joss Whedon and Joseph Michael Linsner. I'm really loving the new Stephen King comics. The Stand is so good!

I'm sure there are tons I'm forgetting, but my graphic novel collection is at home except for a few. :)

You can actually get Baraque from gamefly for $13 on the Wii, and that's with shipping. http://www.gamefly.com/products/detail.asp?pid=129775

I was looking into it myself but when I read the part about how they take all your stuff away from you and reset your character to level 1 each time you die or finish a dungeon, I decided I could do without it.

Seriously?? That's why I won't play Izuna! Eff that shiznit then. That's the dumbest game mechanic ever.

Yup, I think I read an article on it from wikipedia. It does sound like and interesting story and supposedly you only get parts of the story from actually dying from time to time, but at the cost of losing all my stuff and having my levels reset? Screw that noise.
